Major Courses:

a) General English is Compulsory for all students in the 1st and 2nd Semester.
b) MIL (Assamese) or Alternative English is Compulsory for all in the 1st and 2nd Semesters.
c) Students can offer Major in any of the following subjects :
(i) Assamese (ii) English (iii) Economics (iv) Education (v) History (vi) Political Science (vii) Sociology
d) Environmental Study and Computer Skill/ Communication Skill are Compulsory for all 3rd Semester students. The marks secured in Environmental Study are evaluated in Grades.
e) One Multi Disciplinary Course is Compulsory for all 4th Semester students.

General Course:

a) For all General Course, the points (a), (b), (d) and (e) under Major Course apply.
b) Apart from that, a student of General Course has to opt ant two subjects from the following list :
Economics, Education, History, Political Science, Sociology and Philosophy.
