Assistant Professor
Dr. Sahidul Ahmed joined this college on 14-06-2016. Before joined in Amguri College, he rendered his service as Assistant Professor (Class I Gazette Office) in Ambedkar College, a Govt. degree College in the state of Tripura. Since his joining, he is extending his service in numerous ways for the progress of the college in the range of academic, infrastructural and cooperate life. Dr. Sahidul Ahmed completed M.A. from Cotton College (Gauhati University), M.Phil from Periya University & Ph.D degree from National Institute of Technology, Silchar and presently holding the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of education.
Dr. Ahmed has completed on minor research project which was funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Shillong. He has organized three national level seminars (funded by UGC and ICSSR) and also conducted one seven days workshop on SPSS (Funded by ICSSR) as coordinator/organizing secretary. His research interests are: Quality of Education, Primary Education, and Higher Education. Very recently he has submitted a research proposal to ICSSR, New Delhi on Drop Out in Higher Education: A case study of Assam.
Till now he has published 10 research papers of national and international repute. Dr. Ahmed is also associated as reviewer/Assistant editor of reputed journals. He is also associated with many international research institutions and life member.
Dr. Ahmed, is serving in the Department of Education, Amguri College, Amguri from last couple of years. During his service, he is also shouldering responsibilities like Assistant Coordinator of IQAC, Nodal officer of AISHE, NIRF etc. for the greater interest of the college.
