Associate Professor (Pursuing PhD in Dibrugarh University)
Sankar Biswas had his
stint as a Lecturer in Dibru College in August 2005 .Moving on and having
joined the department way back in 2005, despite the pathetically limited no of staff has been trying to address the
higher-education demands of the students of Amguri College, Amguri with a
brigade comprising of two sanctioned
posts including himself and two contractual teachers. Having had the experience
of 15 years of teaching, he has experimented with teaching learning methodology
by blending technology into classroom teaching impartment, working
simultaneously for grooming his students into tech-savvy netizens. Besides, he
has been discharging his responsibility as NSS Programme Officer, Rover
Unit Advisory Officer , RUSA Coordinator of the college, Eco Club Member apart from discharging other significant
duties of the college such as addressing the grievances of students and
monitoring discipline implementation as part of holding membership of Grievance
Redressal Cell, Disciplinary Action Committee. He has to his kitty whetted
experience of supervising data upgradation work relating to National Population
Register, Socio-Economic Survey. He has his share of experience in being Gunutsav
Supervisors on multiple occasions since
2017 and this apart he has made share of contribution to the Crusade against
Covid-19 by leading the supervision of the College Quarantine Centre for more
than two months in the ongoing year
On the Academic Front,
after post-graduating from Dibrugarh University in 2004, he cleared
SLET/NESLET in the very year. Right now
despite hectic schedules, he goes in for the adoption and application of
innovative teaching methods with technology aids and grooming his students in
the online interface. His key areas of teaching and writing encompass Pure
Language, Applied Linguistics, Validation of Critical Theories, Historical-
Children-Women Literature, Mythology, Philosophical Realms, Interface between Literature
and Social Sciences, Scientific Literature, Etymology and Onomastics , Calque
Studies and Foreignization. He has to his cap of experience many berets of
certification after having completed online short term courses numbering up to
25 from Future Learn & Harappa. He has been contributing as both examiner,
scrutinizer, paper setter of Dibrugarh University Exams both Undergraduate and
Post Graduate. He has to his kitty memberships of Edu Platforms such as British Council, OUP, CUP, ALTE, CTESOL, NEWSWEEK
to name a few. This apart, Mr Biswas has
had his own share of editing experience in the form of editing on four
occasions the College News Letter Mirour, and penning experience through his
regular contribution of articles on science, philosophy and literature in the
College Magazine and academic history in the College Golden Jubilee Souvenir
“Swarnahinjan’. He is also having experience of coordinating webinars, and
webtalks
