Biography

Mr. Sadananda Borah joined in Amguri College on 01/03/2013. Before joining in this
institution, he gathered lot of experiences working in different schools, colleges and offices. In
the year 2003, he joined in Sonari Colleges a contractual teacher in the department of English
where he worked for six months. After that, he joined as a call center executive in NEDFI,
Guwahati and thereafter, he worked as an instructor in the centre of competitive examination
preparation centre in Gauhati University. Then he joined in Guwahati Public School, Batahghuli
and worked there for eight months. Mr. Borah returned to his home district, SIvasagar and
worked in the Sibsagar Junior College, SIvasagar Junior Technical School and Sivasagar Govt.
H.S. & M.P. School from 2005 to 2007. In the year 2007, he joined in Sibsagar College and
worked there for 2 years. After that he joined in S.P.P. College, Namti and served there till his
permanenet employment in Amguri College.
Mr. Borah completed his graduation from Sibsagar College, Joysagar, M.A. from University
of Pune and M.Phil from Madurai Kamaraj University. His interested areas are Post.colonial
literature, Critical Theory and Gender Studies. Till date, Mr. borah has participated in more than
75 National / International Seminars and has published 10 research articles in different journals
and anthologies and edited and co-edited 3 books. He has also attended 14
National/International workshops, FDP’s and Short Term Courses. He has been recognized as a
prominent learner by British Council, UK, Oxford University Press of India, Common wealth
Learning, Canada, etc.
Apart from the academic pursuits, Mr. Borah has also extended his services as the Teacher
representative to the Governing Body of the college, Master Trainer in Parliamentary and
Assembly Elections, External Evaluation in Gunotstav, teacher advises in Student’s Union Body,
member of IQAC, member of H.S. Management Committee, member of Research &
Consultancy Committee, HOD of the department of English , etc. Presently, he is Assistant
Professor in the department of English, Amguri College.
